Wirenet All Dielectric Self-supporting Aerial Cable ADSS
Wirenet All Dielectric Self-supporting Aerial Cable ADSS
The self supporting aerial cables is loose tube stranded. 250μm fibers are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around a FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) as a non-metallic central strength member into a compact and circular cable core. The cable core is not only filled with filling compound, but also covered with thin PE (polyethylene) inner sheath. The stranded layer of aramid yarns are applied over the inner sheath as strength member. Therefore, the cable is completed with PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath. ADSS has good performance of tensile strength and temperature.
All-dialectric self-supporting (ADSS) cables are manufactured with an FRP dielectric central strength member, with multiple loose tube optical fibres. The external jacket is UV stabilised and extremely resistant to the ingress of moisture, with operating temperatures from -40-+70 degrees, the cables are suitable for installation to 11kV power lines.
Features:
Can be installed without shutting off the power
Light weight and small diameter reducing the load caused by ice and wind and the load on towers and backprops
Large span lengths
Good performance of tensile strength and temperature
The design life span is 30 years
