Fault analysis and treatment of optical fiber fusion machine


In the process of optical fiber fusion, due to the environment or the machine itself, there will be an error in working status, so the next operation cannot be carried out.
Well, some problems can be solved on the spot, there are about 9 kinds.

Question 1:
The left and right optical fibers are misaligned up and down, or the image on the left is not in clear focus, while the position on the right optical fibers is normal.
Correct treatment: clean the bottom of the left V-slot (the bottom of the V-slot pushed by the cut short bare fiber), and then see if the fiber press-foot inside the windproof cover is flexible. Normal faults should have been ruled out.

Question 2:
When the left and right optical fiber is advanced horizontally, if the left and right optical fiber cannot be advanced in place (and the machine has ZL or ZR alarm).
First to make sure the length of the fiber placement is correct, after determine the fiber placed there is no doubt, can be dealt with as follows: take out about optical fiber, optical fiber pressure around platform right hand gently to the electrode, let both feel about fiber platform whether there is resistance, if there is a resistance, then push a few times more, until the hand feel resistance.
If there is persistent resistance, there is an internal problem with ZL or ZR and it is time to send it for repair.

Question 3:
Electrode aging, high connection loss.
Treatment method: first, check the degree of oxidation of the electrode. If there is only a small amount of oxide on the electrode tip, the electrode can be removed and dipped in 99.95% analytical alcohol with a hard paper to clean the oxide on the electrode tip.
The clean electrode was reinstalled on the welding machine and the discharge test was carried out. The test passed, indicating that the machine could continue to work normally.
If the electrode tip has become protruding, the electrode needs to be replaced.

Question 4:
The X/Y field shows a blurred image that cannot be properly connected.
Solution: Make sure that the optical fiber is placed at the bottom of the V-groove. For the welding machine with a reflector, first check whether the X/Y field reflector is covered on the lens like fog. If it is, dip a clean cotton swab in 99.95% analytical alcohol and then wipe the reflector.
If it's winter or summer, consider the camera's condensation.
In case of condensation, let the welding machine rest for 15 minutes and wait for the condensation to be lifted automatically.

Question 5:
Heating furnace problem.
Treatment method: If the heat-shrinkable tube is stuck in the heating furnace, it is not easy to take out the heat-shrinkable fiber from the heating furnace. This is because the heat-shrinkable tube is of poor quality (domestic heat-shrinkable tube is the same kind), press the heating furnace key again, and take out the fiber easily during heating.
Fiber-optic inspection failed.
Treatment: Make sure the fiber is placed at the bottom of the V-slot.
First, clean the lens protector. Always gently wipe it with a clean cotton swab. Usually the problem can be solved.
New fiber-optic splices remove the reflector, so the user does not know how the splices work.
At this time the operator first open the wind cover, you can see the wind cover has two holes, which are two LED LED light emitting diode, is the imaging light source, brightness is not bright or brightness is not enough will make the welding machine read imaging signal, the machine will report an error.
Therefore, whether these two LED LED light emitting diodes are normal workpiece is very important.
The magnetic switch in the machine is controlled by closing and opening the windproof cover, so the magnet position on the windproof cover needs to be kept clean to prevent oil stains, etc., and always in a good switching state.

Question 6:
When you open the windproof cover, the fiber breaks for no apparent reason.
In fact, when the wind cover is opened, the fiber is under tension test. The broken fiber indicates that there is a problem with the fiber connection quality, so the discharge test should be done again. After the discharge test, the problem can be solved.
If the fiber is still broken, please clean the V-slot and the bare fiber clamp. By doing these steps, the problem can be solved.

Question 7:
Fiber cutting Angle is too large.
Processing method: First, hold the cutting knife firmly in your hand, let the cutting knife pressure fiber rubber can look at the light, see whether the two pressure fiber rubber can pervious to light, if it can pervious to light, it should be adjusted.
Emergency treatment, the side of the press rubber can be transparent to take off, temporary pad a piece of thick and thin suitable paper, so that there is no light between the rubber is appropriate, the problem can be solved temporarily.
In addition, take a look at whether the cover plate of the cutting tool and the knife rest are strictly suitable for the seam, if there is a dislocation and gap between the upper and lower, when cutting fiber, fiber section will not qualified.

Question 8:
The section of optical fiber production is damaged.
Treatment method: after the fiber section is damaged, the cutting knife height, slightly lower, and then try to cut again, if there is damage, then lower a little, only to cut out qualified fiber section.
In addition, you can also turn the knife edge a little bit, with a new knife edge, the problem should be solved.

Question 9: There is a bulge in the section of optical fiber fabrication.
Treatment method: when the optical fiber section is convex after fabrication, the cutting tool surface is low and needs to be raised a little.
