The fibers are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic(PBT). The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling GEL. A Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) locates in the center of core as a non-metallic strength member, water blocking yarns on the FRP. The tube is wrapped with a layer of water blocking yarns. The cable is completed with a HDPE sheath. Ripcord inside the outer jacket.
Characteristics:
Central Strength Member(CSM): glass fiber reinforced plastic rod (FRP) with water blocking yarn.
Loose Tube: thermoplastic material, containing up to 12 fibers and filled with a
Suitable water tightness compound.
Filler Elements: thermoplastic rods, where needed.
Stranding: loose tubes (and fillers), SZ stranded around the CSM.
1 Ripcord.
Outer Sheath: HDPE.
